Aquarius according to the Zodiac
The central sign of Winter is Aquarius, a cold period, in which everything is hostile, still and frozen.
The Aquarius stands out for its great breadth of vision, towards the community and towards the future, with a capacity for abstraction, imagination and a drive for progress without equal.
The Aquarius creates and invents, with a visionary and collective mind: it is said that he prefers to speak in the plural forms, that he feels as part of something greater and strictly connected to it, sincerely attracted by high ideals, aware that progress will come entirely from collaboration and from sharing, thus risking not to recognize his own specific contribution to any success.
The predisposition to friendship and the great sense of equality bring the sign many relationships, managed with cordiality and diplomacy, as well as a certain amount of political ability. He doesn’t however apply any condescension to power, and actively argues where social justice seems at risk, and even in defense of collective goods.

Aquarius interpreted by Sibania
Aquarius is a creative and sociable sign, the pose of this figure recall this features, with a hand offered to the public.
The shape of the dress, perfectly smooth, unique in this collection, recalls the iconography of the sign, linked to the vase from which the water is spread, and the left arm of the figure almost seems to be the left arm of the jug. The hair resembles a tortuous waterfall, while in irregular but well-defined curls descend along one shoulder.
The colors associated with Aquarius are blue and indigo, which are found in the dress and in the details, as well as in the eyes. Instead, the hair is black, indicating the winter period.
Like the other Air signs, a stream of curly irregular lace characterizes the figure, descending like a stream of water along the front of the dress and then spreading around it, at the base.
The symbol of Aquarius is shown by the indigo-colored finishes on the chest of the figure.
Finally, the base is blue, reminding us of its belonging to the Air element.

Every product created by Sibania is unique both concerning the realization process of every single piece and the production technology, which boasts its being inimitable by others. Each item is hand made and hand painted in our workshop, set in Vicenza (Italy). All clothes are made of thin, porcelain layers on which different kinds of textures are impressed. These layers are cutted according to the characteristics of every single template. They are successively carefully applied on the figurine body. Hairstyles are also handcrafted depending on each figurine’s unique features. Faces, clothes and accessories are painted on the biscuit with non-toxic colors. The piece is eventually baked one last time (“third firing”). Any additional details such as violin strings or the Vespa kickstands are then applied on the finished piece.
