Olivia is the Statue of the Year 2026.
For our figurines, the name is crucial: it tells the personality and story behind each model. In particular, the Statues of the Year share the same sequence of the Italian alphabet: the thirteenth letter is O, Olivia.
Olivia is like the olive tree, whose green is reflected in the colors of this statue.
The olive tree is above all a symbol of peace and prosperity, concepts that are dear to us now more than ever.
We feel a connection to its age-old tranquility, adaptation, and resilience: the same patience, dedication, and trust are needed to do our work.
Olivia wants to be, in some way, a harbinger of the future, which remains veiled before us by a fan of courage and faith.
Here is Sibania’s new Statue of the Year: shy, yet with a gaze full of curiosity and wonder. Her seemingly charming pose allows her to stand back and admire her surroundings. Delicate in her corolla-shaped dress of tulle petals and green flowers, she adds a touch of character with her amethyst-colored fan, which she uses to conceal her desire to be known.
Olivia’s height: 24 cm
How are our figurines made?
Every object produced by Sibania is absolutely unique, both in its individual design and in its production technique, which is unparalleled and makes it difficult to imitate. These items are entirely modeled and painted by hand in our workshop in the province of Vicenza, Italy. The dresses are made from thin sheets of porcelain, onto which textures are imprinted. These sheets are cut according to the dress model and then painstakingly applied to the statue’s body. Even the hairstyles are hand-crafted each time. The faces, clothing, and accessories are painted on the “bisque” terracotta with non-toxic colors; the piece then undergoes a further firing called “third firing.” Any additional details are then applied to the finished piece.
Our porcelain statues are created through a completely artisanal process that, while respecting the original model, makes each statue unique, slightly different from other similar figures in details such as the folds of the clothing, the hairstyle, or the nuances of the paint. The attention to detail, the quality of the materials used, and the guarantee of “handmade” make these statues collector’s items, whose authenticity is certified by the hallmarks we place on each piece.
